Matthew Ian Percy

Most recently Matt was selected by the Baton Rouge Business Report for its prestigious “Forty under 40” award in 2019.  He is a native of Gonzales, Louisiana and joined the firm in 2009.

Matt earned his B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2004. He then earned his Juris Doctorate in 2012. While in law school, Matt was on the Dean’s List multiple times and received the CALI award for the highest section grade in Louisiana Obligations. Additionally, he was chosen for the 2011 Corporate and Business Excellence Scholarship Award.

Matt’s practice is comprised almost exclusively of personal injury cases; however, he also has extensive experience in other areas of law, such as: commercial matters, property disputes, and redhibition cases.

He is an experienced litigator and has practiced before state and federal district courts, and has appeared before state and federal appellate courts.

In addition to his private practice, Matt is the appointed Municipal Attorney for the City of Gonzales and previously served as the appointed attorney for theTown of Sorrento from 2012-2021. He also represents the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Matt is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Matt is a member of the Leadership Ascension Foundation Board and is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Ascension and is a graduate of Ascension Catholic High School in Donaldsonville, Louisiana.

Anna Quintero Skias

Anna’s practice is comprised of general civil matters, real estate, and corporate law. Anna joined the firm in January 2017 after clerking for the Honorable Jason M. Verdigets of the 23rd Judicial Court.

Anna earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in History and a minor in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2010. She then earned her Juris Doctorate and Diploma in Comparative Law Studies from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law School in 2014.

During law school, Anna had invaluable experiences as a summer law clerk for Judge Jewel “Duke” Welch of the First Circuit Court of Appeal and as an intern in the Office of the Executive Counsel to the Speaker of the House of Representatives under Speaker Charles “Chuck” Kleckley.

Anna is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and 23rd Judicial District Bar Association. In addition to being admitted to all Louisiana state courts, she is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana.

Robert Ryland Percy, III

Ryland Percy is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is the senior managing partner of the firm. He received a B.S. in accounting from Louisiana State University in 1971 and his M.S. in Administration from the University of Guam in 1974. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the LSU Law Center in 1976. Ryland retired as a Rear Admiral in the United States Navy in 2007 after 36 years of active and reserve service. Ryland’s principal practice areas include general and commercial litigation, real estate, business transactions, corporations, class action administration, personal injury, and governmental law.

Ryland is a member of the 23rd Judicial District and Louisiana State Bar Associations. He holds an AV-Preeminent Rating from the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory for meeting the highest level of professional excellence.
